The enormous amount of birds which exist on the coast, the desert, the plains, the highlands, the mountains, the forests, the lakes and even the parks in the cities are a dream come true. Amidst all of this, the life of a naturalist is full of dreams and discoveries. They dream that their desires come true because a biologist who doesn´t pursue his passion doesn´t achieve the strength or hope to get to the bottom of nature´s most hidden secrets. Well, that´s what we have done, dream and work during ten years of uninterrupted labor in this marvelous project about the birds which live on the agricultural ecosystems of the Agrokasa farms.
Since the 20th Century, the need to provide special protection to the species and wild areas, as well as the dawn of a new conservation conscience has generated conditions for the Peruvian Government to make diverse agreements for the conservation of its biota. In this context international conventions have been signed, legal norms have been promulgated to establish protected areas and national lists of fauna which are threatened or in danger have been updated.
